Madness of Youth is an Egyptian social drama that follows Salwa, a young woman caught between a deceptive father and a passive mother. When her friend Esmat introduces her to Alaa — a liberal-minded young man who rejects social conventions and moral constraints in favor of a bohemian lifestyle — Salwa finds in their connection a sense of liberation she has always craved. She falls deeply in love and ultimately flees her home to be with him, a decision that sets in motion consequences she never anticipated.
