Hawk's Eyes is an Egyptian drama thriller set on the nation's borders, following Abu al-Wafa, an upright border soldier who lives with his ageing father Darwish — himself a former border guard — and his wife Saadi, who has been unable to conceive. In a misguided act of tenderness, Abu al-Wafa keeps from Saadi the truth about where the problem lies, a deception that backfires when she discovers the reality and feels doubly betrayed.
