Asyad Wa Abeed, is a 1978 Egyptian movie, and starring Mahmoud Yassin, Hussein Fahmy. Mervat Amin.
Asyad Wa Abeed is an Arabic political drama that exposes the machinery of state repression through the ordeal of Doctor Ahmed, who is arbitrarily detained while his colleague Imad is tortured to death in custody. Rifaat, the ruthless intelligence chief, coerces Ahmed into signing a falsified medical certificate declaring Imad's death as natural — offering his release as the price of complicity. Ahmed signs, walks free, and carries the weight of that silence — until he begins planning his revenge against Rifaat and a system built on fear and impunity. A tense and morally charged drama about coercion, conscience, and the slow-burning will to resist.
