Overview
The Last Document is an Egyptian social comedy following Bassiouni, a long-serving civil servant who has just been pensioned off. Barely settling into retirement, he receives an unexpected visitor: the young Sami, who comes to ask for his daughter Tahania's hand in marriage. Bassiouni agrees with delight and throws himself into preparing the marital home — and that is precisely where his troubles begin.
