Overview

Entering is by Formal Clothing is an Egyptian social comedy that peeks behind the curtain of wealth and fabricated happiness. Nashwa is a rich divorced woman who fills her loneliness with lavish parties and a household of servants, projecting an image of contentment to the world. When she advertises a high-paying cook assistant position, the unemployed and proud intellectual Mumtaz swallows his dignity and applies for the job. The film explores the collision of two very different worlds — privileged loneliness and working-class pride — with sharp comedic situations and a warm undercurrent of human connection.
