Overview

Bint Al-Shahbandar is an Arabic historical romance drama set in the late nineteenth-century Levant. The two brothers Ragheb and Zaid both fall for Nariman, the daughter of a powerful merchant tycoon, but it is Zaid who wins her heart and her hand in marriage. When Zaid mysteriously vanishes, Ragheb seizes the opportunity to step into his brother's place — in business, in the household, and ultimately in Nariman's affections. Set against the richly detailed backdrop of Ottoman-era Greater Syria, the series weaves together romance, rivalry, and family loyalty in a sweeping period drama that examines how desire and ambition can fracture even the closest of brotherly bonds.
