Overview

The Law, Excuse Us is an Egyptian social drama exploring the complex marriage of Ali and Hoda, a couple bound by genuine affection but tested by Ali's severe psychological condition — an inability to relate normally to women. Hoda stands by her husband, seeking specialist medical help in hopes of seeing him recover. When Ali is eventually cured, the story takes a painful turn as he betrays Hoda with their mutual married friend Lubna Suleiman Al-Salahdar. The film raises unsettling questions about human nature, fidelity, and whether recovery from one wound can open the door to another, delivering a sharp critique wrapped in domestic drama.
