Overview

Searching for Freedom is an Arabic drama film following three Arab women, each from a different country, who make their way to France in pursuit of the freedom they could not find at home. Their journeys are distinct — shaped by different personal histories, pressures, and desires — yet united by the same fundamental longing for autonomy and self-determination. The film offers a thoughtful and compassionate portrait of Arab womanhood, examining identity, belonging, and the social forces that drive women to seek new lives far from their roots. A resonant Arabic film that speaks to universal themes of liberation and self-discovery.
