Abo albnat, is a 1980 Egyptian movie, and starring Farid Shawqy, Madiha Kamel. Aaidah Riyadh.
Abo Al-Banat is an Egyptian drama film that centres on Sayed, a modest civil servant raising four daughters — Samira, Mona, Safaa, and Layla — on a tight budget. When his government service ends, Sayed partners with a neighbourhood merchant named Hussein to stay afloat, while his daughter Mona catches the attention of the wealthy Medhat. The family's fragile stability is shattered when Hussein is arrested on smuggling charges and Sayed kills him in a moment of rage. The film traces how an ordinary Egyptian family navigates financial hardship, social ambition, and the weight of decisions that can never be undone, with Mona's pursuit of Medhat threading through the drama as both escape and aspiration.
