Hassan Ramzy

The son of Ismail Pasha Ramzi, the former director of the Assiut Directorate, who also held the position of Minister of Endowments before his death in 1951. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in 1935 at the age of twenty-three, and joined the position of Cairo City Planning Engineer in the Planning Authority. He was then promoted to the position of Inspector General of Planning, and later became Director General of the Planning Authority, until he resigned from this position in 1958 at the age of forty-six to devote himself to His first love: cinema, so he became the first president of the Egyptian Chamber of Film Industry, and he continued to hold this position by unanimous election of his fellow filmmakers until he passed away on the evening of Saturday, February 19, 1977. In addition to that, he founded Al-Nasr Films Company for Film Production, through which he produced 30 cinematic films. In addition to production, Hassan Ramzy experimented with acting, but in simple roles, such as in the film (A Storm on the Countryside) in 1941. He also experimented with writing and directing through films such as (Passion and the Body), (The Teacher Bulbul), and (The White Robe).
