Camellia, an Egyptian actress of Jewish origins. Her real name is “Lillian Victor Levi Cohen.” She is considered the most brilliant and highest-paid star of Egyptian cinema in the mid-forties and achieved widespread fame. Her name has been linked to several political and intelligence incidents and mysteries. With the then King of Egypt, King Farouk, it was widely rumored that they had a relationship or that she had favored him in a way that went beyond yellow newspaper news. She died in a mysterious plane crash, and conspiracies were raised around her about spying for the Israeli Mossad. The last Egyptian film she made was “Last Lie” with Samia Gamal and Farid Al-Atrash in 1950.
