Abdel Monem Shokry

An Egyptian director, born in 1922, he graduated from the Faculty of Arts (History Department) from Cairo University, then joined an Egyptian delegation at the end of the sixties to study directing in Moscow, Germany, and Switzerland with his colleague at the time, the artist Mahmoud Morsi. He began his artistic career as an assistant director with a number of directors, including Ahmed Badrakhan, Hassan Ramzy, and Omar Jami. He directed a number of documentary films, the first of which was Cairo in 1952. He worked as a director on television since the beginning of broadcasting, and he has many films and series, including Interior Designer: The Open Door, On the Minister’s Door, Al-Safira Aziza, and Amir Al-Daha.
