A Very Windy Day, is a 1984 Egyptian movie, directed by Mahmoud El Barbari and Shaker Khodair, and starring Madiha Kamel, Salah Qabil. Nagah El-Mogui.
A Very Windy Day is a comic stage play that inverts the domestic power structure to amusing effect. A hen-pecked husband lives entirely under the thumb of his domineering wife, who guards their social standing jealously and forbids him from mixing with anyone she deems beneath their class. His unlikely salvation comes from the household servants — people his wife barely notices — who take his side, stoke his grievances, and hatch schemes to help him reclaim some measure of authority in his own home. The play is a sharp, affectionate satire of snobbery and marital control, suggesting that in the household hierarchy, those at the bottom often hold more power than appearances suggest.
