Overview

Promise (Wa'd) is a romantic drama film built around a childhood triangle of love, loyalty, and fate. Three inseparable friends — Medhat, Adel, and Fatima — grow up with a bond that is both tender and complicated. Their families, hoping to seal that bond, arrange an engagement between Fatima and Medhat. But Adel harbors feelings he cannot express, and with no hope in sight he leaves for abroad, carrying his love in silence.
