Scorpions' Hill is an Egyptian social drama set in a gritty working-class neighborhood where Antar takes on the near-impossible task of fighting corruption single-handedly. When the neighborhood's villains torch the factory that sheltered the unemployed and vulnerable — leaving Antar paralyzed — the forces of corruption appear to have won. But the fight is not over: Mahmoud Al-Nimsi, unjustly imprisoned, takes up the torch, and together with Nousa the café owner confronts those scheming to demolish the community and replace it with a supermarket.
