Overview
Samara Al-Amir is an Egyptian drama film tracing the remarkable transformation of Shalabya, a palace maid who falls in love with Ali, the Pasha's driver. When their secret romance is exposed, both are dismissed. Shalabya reinvents herself at a nightclub under the name Samara Al-Amir, rising to fame and rubbing shoulders with journalist Marwan Amin and the prominent politician Mahdi Pasha.
