Isalu Kalbi (Ask My Heart) is an Arabic romantic drama series in which a wealthy young woman falls deeply in love with a celebrated actor, only to have her father forbid the relationship in deference to family traditions. The actor steps aside out of respect, feigning a romance with a dancer to deflect attention, while she proceeds to marry her cousin. Unable to move on, the actor descends into alcoholism and abandons his career — a poignant portrait of forbidden love and the quiet devastation it leaves behind.
