Shaban El-Fares is an Egyptian comedy film centered on a father who feels he has lost his son's respect and sets out to prove his courage and love. On the way to the filming location, the two accidentally board a getaway car involved in a real crime — yet they mistake every dangerous twist for a scripted part of the show. The film blends slapstick comedy with thriller elements as the father's well-meaning plan spirals into increasingly absurd and perilous territory.
