Overview

Too Little Love, Too Much Violence is an Egyptian social drama film that centers on Talaat, the son of wealthy merchant Morsi, who chafes under his father's decree that he marry the poor Fatima. When Talaat rebels and divorces Fatima, he sets his sights higher — befriending Younis, son of a senior politician, and scheming to marry Younis's sister as a calculated route to power and money. The film is a sharp portrait of ambition, class mobility, and the transactional nature of marriage and social climbing in Egyptian society, where love is frequently the first casualty of financial calculation.
