Overview
So That God Loves You is an Egyptian comedy set in Cairo that follows Souad, a woman so desperate to escape her failing marriage that she plots her businessman husband's death in increasingly creative ways. Her accomplice in misery is Kamal, her lover, who is equally trapped with his disagreeable wife, the doctor Anahid. Enter a charlatan roaming Cairo's streets who uses modern trickery to offer them a solution: engineer a love affair between the businessman and Anahid, killing two birds with one stone. A farcical comedy of romantic scheming and social hypocrisy.
