Overview

Nour Al-Qamar is a historical Arabic drama series set in the 1940s. It follows a military officer whose consuming obsession with a mysterious woman named Nour Al-Qamar leads him to reject the marriage of his devoted relative, who moves on and finds happiness with another man. As years pass, the officer drifts through life without meaningful achievement, eventually resigning his commission, turning to law, and rising to a seat in Parliament before marrying a widow. The series is a thoughtful meditation on the choices we make when ruled by idealized love and the long shadow those choices cast over a lifetime.
