Overview
Mercedes is an Egyptian thriller that weaves together inheritance, crime, and political intrigue into a tightly wound plot. Nubi, a wealthy man with Communist leanings, is tasked with tracking down his half-brother Gamal — disowned by their family due to his homosexuality — in order to pass on their father's fortune. But the mission carries a deadly edge: Nubi must also neutralize Gamal's stepmother Raifa, a suspected drug trafficker who may be planning to kill Gamal before any inheritance can change hands. A gripping crime drama that peels back the polished surface of wealth and family to reveal the violence beneath.
