Ayoub is an Egyptian drama series following a resourceful and self-taught young man who — unable to complete his education due to financial hardship — holds down multiple jobs, working at a bank, a bookshop, and as a vegetable vendor. Despite his resilience, Ayoub is betrayed by the people closest to him when relatives and friends conspire to have him imprisoned on false debt charges. While behind bars, he loses his mother to grief — a loss that transforms him completely. Upon his release, the warm-hearted overachiever he once was is gone, replaced by a man with a singular, burning purpose: revenge against those who took everything from him.
