Overview

It's Hopeless is an Egyptian comedy-fantasy film about a young bank employee who spends more time chasing women than doing his job — until a visit to a sorcerer leaves him with an uncanny ability to perceive the true nature of everyone around him. At first a novelty, this supernatural gift quickly becomes a burden when he uses it to deny a loan to a wealthy man hiding dark intentions, setting off a chain of escalating trouble that his newfound power cannot easily undo. The film blends comedic situations with a fantastical premise, exploring what happens when someone suddenly sees the world — and the people in it — for exactly what they are.
