Overview
Le Retour is an Algerian drama set in the early 1970s that follows Lakhdar, a peasant farmer who leaves behind his desert homeland and family to seek a living in France. When the long-awaited day finally comes and Lakhdar walks the streets of Paris ready to go home, fate intervenes and steers his life in an entirely unexpected direction.
