Overview

Hassan Taxi is an Algerian comedy film that follows Hassan, a war veteran worn down by the years that followed independence, who uses his veteran status to obtain a taxi license and take to the streets of Algiers. His daily routes across the capital become a window into the city's soul — a series of comic and deeply human encounters with passengers from all walks of life. The film blends gentle humor with social observation in post-independence Algeria.
