Overview

Memory in the Flesh is an Algerian drama series that sweeps through more than four decades of Algerian history, from the 1940s through the 1980s. At its heart is a complex love story between Khaled, a middle-aged militant shaped by the struggle against colonialism, and Hayat, a young writer who happens to be the daughter of his closest friend. Narrated with elegance through Khaled's own voice, the series intertwines personal longing with the collective memory of a nation — exploring how love, war, and political conviction can coexist and collide across generations.
