Overview

Al-Helaly's Way is an Egyptian comedy drama series starring a university professor, Mustafa Al-Helaly, who heads the Virtue Party and decides to run for parliament on a platform of moral rectitude. His carefully constructed public image is thrown into chaos when a retired dancer named Sou'ad comes forward claiming that he is the father of her rebellious young daughter Nancy — the alleged result of a one-night stand two decades earlier. The timing could not be worse. Al-Helaly must manage a spiraling political campaign while confronting a past he had buried, in a series that mines rich comic and dramatic territory from the collision between public virtue and private human fallibility.
