Bittersweet is an Egyptian drama series about an Egyptian-American man who returns to Egypt after a long absence, carrying romanticized memories and a deep sense of longing for his homeland. Caught between two worlds and two versions of himself, he must navigate the emotional distance between nostalgia and truth. Molasses is a 2010 Egyptian black comedy film. The literal translation of the title is "Black Honey", relating to the bitter-sweet feelings that Egyptians feel towards living in their country.
