Laila Fahmy

An Egyptian film editor, she grew up in a cinematic family. She is the daughter of one of the pioneers of negative montage, the late Kamal Fahmy, under whom she studied. She became an accomplished editor. Then she married the late cinema and montage lover Adel Shukri, and together they formed a brilliant duo that held a high place in the art of negative montage and the trust of filmmakers.
