Overview

A Woman With a Bad Reputation is an Egyptian drama film starring Shams El-Baroudi, Youssef Shaaban, Emad Hamdi, and Mahmoud Yassin. The film follows Hanaa, a young woman whose marriage to Kamal — a calculating opportunist — leads her down a path of degradation she never chose. Kamal presents his wife to his boss Saafan in exchange for a promotion, drawing her into a world of moral compromise from which escape seems impossible. As Hanaa sinks deeper into a life that strips away her dignity, the return of Ahmed, her former sweetheart, offers a glimmer of hope — if only she can keep her past hidden. A sobering and unflinching look at exploitation, social hypocrisy, and the fate of a woman caught between the men who define her.
