The Man Who Sold the Sun is an Egyptian romantic comedy film following Jamil, a young man who works for the jeweler Azzouz and harbors quiet feelings for Souad. When Azzouz entrusts Jamil with delivering a bag of valuable jewelry to a client, an unexpected quarrel between the client and his fiancée forces Jamil to linger at the hotel where Souad happens to work — keeping the jewelry secure in the hotel safe while finding himself closer to the woman he admires than he has ever been before. What begins as a routine errand turns into a series of comic situations that give Jamil an unexpected opportunity to pursue the love he has long kept to himself.
