The Captain is an Egyptian historical drama set in the aftermath of the 1948 Arab defeat, unfolding in the port city of Port Said. Mansour Dahshoury, known as the Captain, emerges as an enigmatic figure whose unexplained abilities and magnetic charm — particularly over women — make him a legend in the streets. He wanders the city retelling tales of the war, becoming both a curiosity and a nuisance to the local authorities. Despite repeated attempts to capture him, the Captain slips away every time, shrouded in mystery.
