Overview

When the Night Ends is a Moroccan drama film following Aziz Ben Achour, a filmmaker and artist whose life is upended when his French wife leaves Morocco, taking their son Karim with her. The absence of his child leaves a profound emotional void that seeps into his creative work and sense of identity. As time passes, Aziz crosses paths with Maryam, a café worker who devotes herself to caring for a child with special needs. Their relationship slowly becomes a catalyst for transformation, challenging Aziz's understanding of loss, love, and the possibility of rebuilding. The film is a quiet, introspective portrait of grief and renewal.
