The Blind Orchestra, is a 2016 Moroccan movie, directed by Mohamed Mouftakir, and starring Younes Megri, Mouna Fettou, Ilyas El Jihani. with a runtime of 112 minutes.
L'Orchestre des Aveugles is a Moroccan drama set in the early years of King Hassan II's reign, following Houcine, a devoted fan of the new king and director of a popular orchestra. His musicians have a peculiar workaround for playing at women-only celebrations in conservative Moroccan households: they pretend to be blind, since blind men are permitted where sighted men are not. This comic premise gives way to deeper human and emotional currents when Houcine's son Mimou encounters Chama, the neighbor's newly arrived maid. A warm and culturally rich film about music, tradition, and the small deceptions people use to navigate rigid social rules.
