4 Cotshina is an Egyptian musical comedy about four childhood friends from a working-class Cairo neighborhood whose bond survives years of separation. When Mayada — who left Egypt with her family at age five — returns after finishing university, she reunites with her old friends and channels her energy into helping them form a shaabi music band. The film is a warm celebration of friendship, grassroots culture, and the enduring pull of where you came from, starring Hiyam Jabbaei.
