
An Egyptian singer and actor, born in 1939 in the Bab al-Shaareya neighborhood in Cairo Governorate. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce in 1965, then a diploma from the Higher Institute of Arabic Music in 1960. He began his fame through the song (Balghouh) with the composer Mohamed Al-Muji. He then broke into the field of acting, where he participated in a small role in the movie (My Mother and Me) in 1957, but his real breakthrough was when he participated in the movie (Beware of Love) in the year 1959, he participated in several works, most notably (The Sad Melody, Meeting Strangers). He was also known for his union activity and held union positions in the Musicians Syndicate more than once. Among his most famous songs are (My Heart Has Been Dabbled, My Heart I Asked About You, Patience Is Good).
