Overview
King Farouk is an Egyptian historical drama series that chronicles the life and reign of King Farouk I, the penultimate monarch of the Muhammad Ali dynasty and one of the most controversial figures in modern Egyptian history. The series follows Farouk from his ascension to the throne following the death of his father, King Fuad I, through the turbulent years of his rule, culminating in the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 when he was overthrown by the Free Officers Movement and forced into permanent exile. A sweeping biographical drama exploring power, politics, and the fall of a kingdom.
