An Egyptian director, editor and writer, born in 1908. He studied film directing at the International Film College in Paris in 1933. He began his artistic career as a director of documentary films, and after that he became a director for a large number of films, including: (Something from Nothing, Life of Darkness, The Triumph of Youth, My Heart and My Sword), then he moved on to screenwriting and directing after that. Among his most prominent films that he wrote and directed are: (I Finally Got Married, The Days of My Youth, Aisha, luscious flowers, traces in the sand). He died in 1982 at the age of 72.
