Deaf (Samm) is a Lebanese short drama film set in Beirut, where Hassan, an aging man, is quietly assembling wooden boards — building a coffin for his wife, who has just died. His two adult children, Tamara and Rami, join him in the emotionally charged task of honoring her final wish: to be buried in the village of her childhood, a place that has been abandoned for over twenty years. With few words and a gentle, observational rhythm, the film turns the act of building a coffin into a meditation on grief, memory, and the lengths to which love goes — even after death.
