Overview

Salma Ya Salama is an Egyptian comedy-drama starring Hala Sidqi as Salma, a woman whose love for the impoverished Salama (Helmy Fouda) leads her to marry him against all material odds. Their life together produces children but reveals a troubling side of Salama's character: when the local underworld figure known as the Teacher (Ahmed Khalil) is imprisoned, Salama seizes the opportunity to take over his shady dealings. The film traces how love and loyalty are tested when a man's true ambitions come to light.
