Overview
Sugar Daddy is an Egyptian comedy film that takes a wry look at midlife crisis and its consequences. Shawki, a middle-aged man in the grip of a late-life rebellion, begins a secret affair with Natalia, a dancer, and whisks her away to a romantic getaway in Sahl Hasheesh. When his sons discover what their father is up to, they decide to stage an intervention — traveling to Sahl Hasheesh to confront him and salvage their parents' relationship. The film balances raucous comedy with family drama, painting an affectionate yet sharp portrait of a man caught between the life he built and the one he briefly imagined.
