Overview

Golden Horseshoes is a Tunisian drama centered on Youssef Soltane, a 45-year-old intellectual who came of age during the ideological fervor of the 1960s only to witness its collapse. Jailed and tortured for his political convictions, Youssef carries the weight of a generation's broken dreams. His entanglement with Zineb, a beautiful young bourgeois woman, compounds his troubles rather than offering relief. On one long winter night, he wanders the city haunted by memory and unanswered questions, in a deeply introspective portrait of disillusionment and existential searching.
