In the days leading up to his wedding, groom Hachemi is besieged by anxiety about his future while haunted by a buried past. His closest friend Farfat has become the subject of damaging street gossip and graffiti questioning his manhood — whispers that cut close to Hachemi as well, for both men share a secret they have never spoken aloud: as young apprentices, they were molested by Ameur, the local carpenter. When Farfat is expelled from his father's home, the weight of their unspoken past threatens to destroy far more than a wedding ceremony.
