Bu Saleh's House is a comedic theatrical production centered on Umm Salih, an iron-fisted matriarch who runs her household with absolute authority, leaving her husband Abu Salih little room to disagree. The power dynamic is upended when Ahmed, her husband's nephew, is discharged from a psychiatric hospital — and returns with a very specific agenda: to take revenge on the woman whose behavior he blames for his institutionalization. Feigning continued madness, Ahmed begins strategically exposing the household's hidden secrets to his uncle, gradually helping Abu Salih reclaim authority over his own home. The situation is further complicated when Abu Salih's daughter Hoda disappears with a mysterious young man. The play is a sharp family comedy about power, pretense, and long-overdue reckoning.
