Overview

L'Batal is a Moroccan comedy-adventure film centered on Ali, an amateur actor whose life takes a bizarre turn after a compromising selfie of a man named Sam goes viral on social media. Enlisted to pose as the mistress Ibtissam's fake lover in order to protect Sam's reputation, Ali is tricked into believing the whole scheme is an acting audition. Things escalate dramatically when Ibtissam is kidnapped by a criminal gang, throwing Ali and his friends headlong into a dangerous real-world adventure that no rehearsal could have prepared them for. A fast-paced comedic thriller full of mistaken identities and escalating chaos.
