Nayda is a Moroccan dark comedy set in the shantytowns on the margins of Casablanca, where Said and his friends are denied even the most basic rights. After their attempts to petition the government go unanswered, the group makes a desperate and reckless decision: they take a group of diplomats and senior political figures hostage to force their voices to be heard. What begins as an act of protest quickly spirals into an unintended terrorist incident as events careen beyond their control, placing the group in an impossible situation. A sharp, socially charged film that uses dark humor to expose inequality and institutional indifference.
