Behind The University's Walls, is a 1981 Egyptian movie, directed by Nagdy Hafez, and starring Shwikar, Saeed Saleh, Younes Shalaby. with a runtime of 110 minutes.
Behind the University's Walls is an Arabic social drama with crime elements set in the world of higher education. Professor Ramsey returns from London with a PhD in English literature, ready to teach — only to find himself fundamentally at odds with his students, unable to bridge the gap between his academic worldview and their everyday reality. Among those students are three friends who stumble into a murder mystery when they discover the body of their elderly beggar neighbor and are promptly arrested for being at the scene. The film interweaves academic satire with criminal intrigue, using the contrasting storylines to probe themes of cultural alienation, generational disconnect, and the absurdity of institutional systems that condemn before they understand.
