The Devil Who Loved Me is an Egyptian comedy thriller film in which the police pursue a skilled robbery gang led by the cunning Professor, with his daughter Awatef working alongside him. Lieutenant Colonel Salah, the officer assigned to bring down the gang, is initially trapped under the thumb of his wealthy, domineering wife — until he divorces her and regains his freedom. But freedom comes with its own complications: he falls head over heels for Awatef the pickpocket and marries her, hoping she will unwittingly lead him to the gang's secrets. The film blends crime, romance, and comic intrigue in a playful cat-and-mouse story.
