Overview

The Two Hobos is an Egyptian comedy following Masoud and Hamid, two debt-ridden friends sharing a cramped room in a popular neighborhood and owing money to just about everyone around them. Their fortunes appear to change overnight when a letter arrives from Australia announcing that Masoud's uncle has died and left him a million pounds. Suddenly the entire neighborhood is falling over itself to befriend Masoud, with every acquaintance hoping to secure a slice of his windfall. The film is a sharp and funny exposé of fair-weather friendship and the way money transforms human relationships.
